Keith sent me a shot of his original '78 XS500 that he has owned since new. It has 24,000 on the clock and has been as reliable as the day is long. As you can see from the pics, he has treated the bike as well as it has treated him over the years. He is also the proud owner of a '75 Cosworth Vega, a pair of rare birds indeed. I think the pair look great together, like they were made for each other.
Thanks Keith for sharing your passion.
Keith that is ane awesome combo you have there.I too bought an XS500 new in '78, and my sisters boyfriend had a Cosworth Vega back in the '70's.That car was a tire smoking fun machine.Nice to see a couple of unmolested pieces of history.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap, what a great looking pair you've got there. It's great to see original survivors like that. Seriously, that's a big pile of sexy. Them both in black makes it even better, and to know that they haven't been sitting in a museum but ridden makes it better.

Hi Keith and Gymi,
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this, Keith.
Ultra cool, both rides.
Thanks for your efforts, Gymi.
Sorry that I did not find your blog earlier.
As soon as I have time, I'll supply you with pix and words. I'm one of those crazy Krauts owning several XS500 and keeping them on the roads in Europe.
Have a great weekend guys!
